Retirement Planning
Retirement should be an adventure, let’s get you there.
Retirement is centered around financial independence.
My approach focuses on developing a plan that allows you to build the systems needed to become financially independent. Retirement may mean not working at all, or scaling back to spend more time pursuing adventure, working pro bono in your field, or mentoring members of your community. No matter what your personal goal is, we can build a plan to get you there.
Developing a ‘Why’
The first step in planning for retirement is much like planning a road trip - you need to know where you’re headed. This means taking the time to reflect on your goals and dreams for the future. For some, the vision is clear, but for many, it requires a bit of soul-searching. I encourage clients to think big and explore what truly matters to them. While your goals will naturally evolve over time, establishing a strong sense of purpose early on creates a guiding light, helping you align today’s financial decisions with the life you want to lead tomorrow.
Building Resources
Once we’ve established your ‘why’, we’ll work to create a plan to help you set aside resources to fund your retirement or financial independence. This can start as soon as you’re able to work and save. Together, we’ll create systems for planning, saving, and adapting your finances to achieve this goal. This process looks different for everyone, and we’ll regularly revisit your plan to ensure we’re on the right track.
Ongoing Evaluation
As we progress, we’ll continually adapt your plan to synergize with life events like relocation, downsizing, tax liability, etc. We’ll set an intentional plan for distribution from financial assets, ensuring your estate plan is straightforward and efficient and providing for long-term care.
